Excavated an apple-like crystal ball in Chenzhou City

On August 2nd, the excavation of the original tomb of the original pumping plant of Wenzhou Avenue in Cangzhou City was discovered. In addition to the tiles, bronze mirrors, smashing machines and an apple-like crystal ball were discovered. On August 3, archaeological experts cleared the tomb.

On the morning of August 2, the excavation was unremarkable. However, the major discoveries in the afternoon made the excavation work cautiously slow down. At 4:30 pm, the excavation work obtained a breakthrough discovery, and a copper mirror with a length of about 20 cm and a bronze mirror with a diameter of about 5 cm was dug up. This is a few days. The bronze was first discovered. City Museum researcher Wan Younan said that the unearthed squadron could be launched continuously, and the Han dynasty army could defeat the strong hussars of the Huns, mainly relying on the opportunity. The unearthing of the opportunity can basically confirm that the tomb is a local governor and a military officer.

What excites the crowd on the spot is that at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, archaeologists have discovered an apple-like crystal ball. Wan Younan said that this is certainly not glass. China first appeared in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, but the glass was very shiny at that time, and the ball was very smooth and translucent. It is basically a crystal ball. This is very rare in Zhangzhou. Never seen in previous archaeology.

Some porcelain pieces, chicken head pots, saliva pots, stone tablets, etc. were also unearthed on the same day. The on-site citizens asked the archaeological experts whether the stone tablets were tombstones and how to determine the age of the ancient tombs. Archaeological experts interacted with the public on the spot: The tombstone appeared only since the Song Dynasty. There is no text on the stone piece excavated. I don’t know what the stone piece was for at the time, but it will not be a tombstone. The unearthed porcelain is a bridge shape, which is characteristic of the early Southern porcelain. The inscriptions in the instrument have the characteristics of Lishu. The Han Dynasty is mainly a Lishu, and there is no script. Therefore, it is further determined as the early tomb of the Southern Dynasties.

On August 3, archaeological experts cleared the tomb and transported the intact tomb to the city museum for preservation.
