Japan's nonwovens production decreased by 3.2% in October

Japan's Sankei provincial report said that in October, Japan's non-woven production fell by 3.2% year-on-year to 26,569 tons, the first decline in 11 months. The total growth for January-October increased by 25.2% year-on-year to 261,486 tons.

In October, the production of thermal-bonded and needle-bonded non-woven fabrics rose for 10 consecutive months, while the output of wet-laid nonwovens fell for the first time in 12 months. Production of spunbond and meltblown nonwovens also fell for the first time in 10 months.

In October, Japan's non-woven production was as follows: chemical cementation, 1,597 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 15%; thermal bonding, 3210 tons, an increase of 4.7% year-on-year; needles, 6,534 tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.2%; high water spray network Fabrics, 2,827 tons, down 10.8% year-on-year; spunbond and melt-blown, 7,458 tons, down 1% year-on-year; other types, 2124 tons, down 2.6% year-on-year; wet non-woven fabrics, 2,819 tons, down 9.3%.
