Dialogue with US Cotton Company: New development concept leads the new fashion of cotton spinning products

In 2017, China International Fabric Design Competition and Cotton Incorporated (Corporate Incorporated) cooperated for the first time, and jointly set up the “Best Cotton Spinning Craft Quality Award” and “Best Cotton Textile Technology Innovation Award” on the basis of regular competitions. Fabric companies collect high-quality cotton spinning innovative products.

It is understood that this competition and the US cotton company set up a special cotton textile product award, aiming to further deepen and promote the product development and cotton spinning technology in the cotton spinning segment. At the same time, through the injection and guidance of the popular trend of cotton textile fabrics and the promotion of innovative cotton textile products, the event will inject new development concepts into the cotton textile industry, provide guidance on technology improvement, and integrate fashion design thinking to promote the function, feel and appearance. The high-quality, high value-added cotton spinning products that are in line with the new market are used to meet the more fashionable consumer demand and lead the new trend of cotton spinning products.

Q: How do you evaluate the cooperation between the US cotton company and the China International Fabric Design Competition? What initiatives or plans will there be in the future in conjunction with quality platforms?

A: China International Fabric Design Competition is an international and authoritative professional competition organized by the China Textile Industry Federation, textile information center, national textile product development center and other organizations with more than 20 years of history and wide attention and respect. Improve the innovation of textile products and strengthen the market competitiveness of textile products. At this point, it coincides with the purpose of the US Cotton Company. For many years, US Cotton has been committed to increasing its added value and market competitiveness, thereby increasing the market share of cotton. And the company also looks at the international and professional nature of this event. It hopes to encourage more Chinese cotton textile companies to participate in and enhance their enthusiasm for producing innovative cotton products by setting up cotton-related awards in this event. To the market, to bring sustainable and healthy lifestyles to consumers.

A: According to the evaluation criteria,

Best Cotton Spinning Process Quality Award: Cotton fabric is the best choice for achieving garment quality. In the evaluation process, the three main aspects of quality are reviewed. These include the feel, not only soft, but also close-fitting; visual appearance, very beautiful in all aspects; and performance, such as excellent drape.

Best Cotton Technology Innovation Award: It has a new or rare trait that creates a new aesthetic in terms of feel or appearance, or new features that meet the needs of today's consumer lifestyles and market applicability in new areas.

The four award-winning fabrics are both sustainable and innovative, and they are truly deserved. For example, Jiangsu Jinling's vertical striped woven fabric has a smooth feel and a modern minimalist style. It also has a windproof function. Jiangsu Jinling is also a partner of the American Cotton Company. Another award-winning fabric comes from Luthai, which is UV resistant and heat resistant. Dingshang's 100% American long-staple cotton fabric reaches 2,900 ft. It also has anti-wrinkle, anti-static, moisture wicking function. Lu Thai and Dingshang are partners in the CottonLEADSTM project.
