On January 28th, the “Romanian Treasures” exhibition was opened at the National Museum of China. The exhibition exhibited a total of 445 pieces (sets) of Romanian fine cultural relics, which outlined the historical evolution and civilization of Romania. Dong Wei, Vice Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Culture, Alessandro Oprian, State Secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Culture, and Romanian Ambassador to China Doru Costia attended the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Dong Wei said that China and Romania are traditional friendly countries, and both countries have a long history and splendid culture. In recent years, with the joint efforts of the Ministry of Culture of the two countries, under the impetus of the cultural cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries, Sino-Roman cultural exchanges and cooperation have continuously achieved new results, and smooth communication has been established between cultural institutions and art groups of the two countries. Through channels, we have completed a variety of cooperative projects. Among them, the joint cultural relics exhibition, as the highlight of cultural exchanges, has played a positive role in promoting mutual understanding and mutual recognition between the two peoples. Cultural relics are the bearers and tellers of history, vividly showing the prosperity and glory of the various nations in the past. In 2013, the “China Treasures Exhibition” was exhibited in Luo and achieved great success. After more than two years of careful preparation, the “Romanian Treasures” exhibition was exhibited at the National Museum of China, and the Chinese audience was concentrated on the most representative cultural heritage of Romania in the past 3,000 years. The scale of the exhibition, the richness of exhibits and the exquisiteness of the exhibits set a new record for Romania's exhibitions in China, bringing the cultural exchanges between China and Romania to new heights.

Alessandro Oprian said that the exhibition is an important project and witness of cultural cooperation between the two countries, and it is also a satisfactory response to the 2013 China Treasures Exhibition in Romania. At the same time, the exhibition emphasizes the importance of cultural heritage and cultural exchanges, which will certainly promote the in-depth understanding of the two countries' traditions. The 445 pieces (sets) of cultural relics represented this time represent the rich culture of all the historical regions of Romania. Some cultural relics are unique in Europe and the whole world, and they are the wisdom of human universal creativity.

The exhibition was co-sponsored by the Romanian Ministry of Culture, the State Cultural Relics Bureau and the National Museum of China. The Romanian National History Museum and the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center hosted the Romanian Embassy in China and the Chinese Embassy in Romania. The exhibition takes the history of Romania as an order and presents the civilized process to the Chinese audience. It is worth noting that the Neolithic Romanian painted pottery exhibited in the Neolithic Age, whether it is a shape or a decorative pattern, has many similarities with the Yangshao culture of the Neolithic Age in China, the Dawenkou culture, and the Majiayao culture type painted pottery. .

The exhibition will close on May 8.
